The Problem

Your HVAC Drain Line Is a Ticking Time Bomb

Condensate drain lines are dark, warm, and wet — the perfect environment for algae and slime to thrive. When they clog, the water has nowhere to go. And in Texas humidity, it happens every single summer.

🦠

Algae Grows Fast

Texas heat and humidity make condensate lines one of the fastest-clogging drain systems in any home. Most HVAC service calls in the summer are for exactly this problem.

💧

Water Backs Into Your Home

A blocked condensate line backs water up into your air handler and eventually your ceiling or walls — causing mold, drywall damage, and expensive remediation.

💸

The Repair Bill Keeps Coming

HVAC techs charge $75–$250 to snake a condensate line. Without a permanent solution, it clogs again the following season. HVAClean pays for itself after one service call.

How It Works
Set It.
Forget It.
Rinse Once a Year.
1

Find Your Condensate Drain Line

Look for the ¾" PVC pipe coming off your indoor air handler — usually in the attic, utility closet, or mechanical room. Most homes have one; two-story homes often have two.

2

Cut In & Connect

Cut a short section of the drain line. Slip the HVAClean barbed fittings into each cut end and secure with the included hose clamps. No glue, no threading, no special tools.

3

It Catches What Would Clog Your Drain

As your AC runs, condensate water flows through the filter chamber. Algae, debris, and slime accumulate inside the filter — not in your drain line.

4

Twist, Rinse, Reinstall

Once or twice a cooling season, unscrew the lid, dump and rinse the chamber with water or a splash of white vinegar, and replace. Two minutes, done.

The Story

A Tattoo Artist Who Got Fed Up Paying the Same Bill Every Summer

TJ is the owner of Big Daddy's Tattoo Studio in College Station, Texas. Like most Texas homeowners, he dealt with a backed-up HVAC condensate line every summer — and paid for it every time.

After one too many service calls for the exact same problem, he did what craftsmen do: he figured it out himself. Using 3D printing skills he'd developed over years of making custom parts and tools, TJ designed, prototyped, and refined an inline condensate filter that anyone can install in minutes.

The result is HVAClean — hand-printed and personally inspected by TJ in College Station before every single shipment. This isn't a factory product. It's an invention from someone who got tired of a problem that had a simple solution nobody had built yet.

FAQ

Questions? Got Answers.

Will HVAClean work with my HVAC system?
HVAClean is designed for residential split AC and heat pump systems with ¾" PVC condensate drain lines — which covers the majority of U.S. homes. You can usually find the pipe size printed directly on the PVC. If you're unsure, email a photo of your drain line to orders@hvaclean.net and TJ will confirm before you order.
How hard is the installation?
If you're comfortable with a utility knife and a screwdriver, you can do this in 20 minutes. The filter comes with everything you need — fittings, clamps, and an instruction card. You cut a section of your PVC drain line, push the barbed fittings in on each end, tighten the clamps, and you're done. A video walkthrough is coming soon.
How often do I need to clean it?
In most climates, once at the start of cooling season is enough. In very humid areas like the Texas Gulf Coast, check it mid-summer as well. Cleaning takes under 2 minutes — twist off the lid, rinse the chamber with water or a little white vinegar, replace the lid, done.
What's it made from?
HVAClean is 3D printed from PETG — a high-quality thermoplastic known for heat resistance, chemical resistance, and durability. It won't warp in attic temperatures and is safe for continuous water contact. It's the same material used in water bottles, food containers, and medical devices.
How do I pay?
Submit your order through the form on this page. TJ will follow up within 24 hours with a payment link via Venmo, PayPal, or card through Square. Full card checkout directly on the site is coming soon. Your order is not confirmed until payment is received.
Do you ship outside Texas?
Yes — free USPS Priority shipping to anywhere in the continental U.S. Alaska and Hawaii orders, please email us first at orders@hvaclean.net so we can confirm a shipping cost before you order.
What's the return policy?
30-day satisfaction guarantee. If HVAClean doesn't work in your setup within 30 days of receiving it, contact TJ at orders@hvaclean.net and he'll make it right — full refund or replacement, your choice. No hassle, no hoops.
Can I buy multiple units?
Absolutely. The two-pack is $59.99 (saves $10) and is perfect for two-story homes or properties with multiple air handlers. Need 5 or more? Select "Bulk / Commercial" in the order form — TJ handles wholesale and contractor pricing on a case-by-case basis.
